We take responsible investment very seriously, and are proud to present the latest revision of our dedicated Responsible Investment Policy, which covers how we embed responsible investment issues across the whole investment process, from setting our strategy, to monitoring and engaging with our investments, through to how we communicate and share investment news with our stakeholders
The 2023 policy includes new information on the following areas:
- New targets to help us achieve our goal of net zero across all portfolios by 2050
- Considerations on how we will approach the important topic of Biodiversity
- A statement around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
- A bold pledge around divesting from fossil fuel companies
Our responsible investment policy promotes transparency by being open about the work we are doing and how we go about it, and focusses the team and our Committee on achieving high standards in this area. This deep integration of responsible investment across all areas of our work and strategy is something that has won us awards. We were proud to be awarded "Best Approach to Responsible Investment" at the LAPF Investment Awards in both 2021 and 2023!
